Eggs

Our current flock of Rhode Island Red hens are raised on pasture, rotated throughout our growing fields. During the winter, they range inside one of the greenhouses. These girls eat bugs, weed seeds, food scraps, and Vermont-processed organic grain. Eggs are available at the farm during CSA pick-up. With a larger flock than ever – almost 200 birds – we hope to offer an egg share to eastern Massachusetts shareholders in 2012. In the winter, they can sometimes be found at Peila’s Market in Northfield, Uppingil Farm in Gill, or Green Fields Market in Greenfield.
